This baby girl is now 47 days old and we are completely in love with our Eleanor Joy. These pictures were taken after she was born and it’s amazing how much she’s already grown since then. She was born on December 16, 2015 at 6:40 pm, weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces and measuring 20 1/2 inches. 6 1/2 weeks later, Miss E is now over 10 pounds and she is all spunk. We are really settling into a routine and now we can’t imagine life without her. More pictures and commonly asked questions about Ellie after the break.
Ehh … still working on sleeping through most of the night. She’s up anywhere from 2-4 times. Mama hopes that we can get that down very soon!
That’s a lot of hair!
Yup, she came out with a head full of dark hair. Losing a bit on top and rocking that old man hairstyle these days, but still hanging on to most of it so far.
Naumann or Sydow?
Naumann lungs. Girl can scream. And she does. When she wants something the whole world is going to hear about it. And even if she doesn’t want something she still enjoys exercising those lungs. (Sorry, neighbors) And definitely a healthy appetite, so much so that she doesn’t know when to stop and we’re amazed that this girl is gaining any weight with as much as she spits up after gorging herself. Her patience level is zero, which I have to admit is a little bit like me. She gives you about .5 seconds to react to her needs or she is going to lose it. And I didn’t believe it, but I’ve seen pictures and the girl looks pretty much like me as as a baby.
Is she smiling?
Yes! Just this past week she started smiling and talking back to us. It’s the greatest.
What does she like?
Bouncing. Eating. Baths. Snuggles. Dad’s singing. Walks. Bells. Running water. Car rides (mostly).
What doesn’t she like?
Sitting still (Or you sitting still). Tummy time. Exercises to strengthen her neck. Mom’s singing. Being left alone. Getting into her carseat.
Where did you get her name?
She is named after both of our grandmothers.
She is the cutest, sweetest and most precious baby in all the land. And yes, we are 100% biased. More pictures of this little lady on my Instagram.
